20+ Years of Experience

Since I could remember, I always loved being in the woods and exploring. What I love most was hunting because it makes me learn and I had to work for my food. I began hunting elk at age 14 once I was allowed to and I never looked back. Elk is what I love chasing and spending time hearing them bugle. It's the most amazing sound in the world and I can't stop thinking about it 365 days.

With my experience hunting for over 20 plus years I know how to find elk, call elk, and get the elk to come close. I am still a student of the art and is always striving to become a better elk hunter. Elk amazes me because many of the time I lose and that's what makes it fun.

Just one more bugle

The key to being successful year after year is not giving up. Persistence gets you closer for a shot at your dream bull but understanding elk language helps slow the elk down with bugles. Just remember just one more bugle will change a bull's mind anytime. I like to bugle and so does our team. Practice the bugles and learn the sounds that elk want to hear. I can teach you what sounds they want to hear and when to do them.

Patience

Being strong and fast is important when it comes to hunting but it doesn't beat patience. Hunting is a waiting game and waiting for the right opportunity and opening determines your success. It's all about keeping up with the elk and waiting for the elk to make the mistake. Elk hunting will test your will and determination but if you are willing to learn what they want to hear then you're one step closer to being successful. Have patience!

Train

Stay in shape or get in shape because elk hunting will either make you or break you. It's not sitting in a tree stand like whitetail. I like to chase and bugle for elk so learning their sound and behavior helps me get close. You don't need a 6 pack to be able to keep up with elk. You just need to know what to do to get close by being healthy and in good condition.

What Makes Me Different?

I'm not better and any successful elk hunter out there. We just hunt differently and have different tactics but the end game is the same. Overall most hunters will have the same strategy like stalking, calling, setting up, etc... but each of us will have our own way of setting up, bugling sequence or finding elk.

Book me to learn my strategies to help you become successful.
